Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) for Volunteers
1. Introduction:
These Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) govern the participation of volunteers in the MCMBA Volunteer Program. By applying to volunteer, you agree to comply with these T&Cs.
2. Eligibility:
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Exceptions for younger volunteers require parental consent.
- Volunteers must complete the application process and be accepted by MCMBA.
3. Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Volunteers must commit to the agreed hours and inform MCMBA of any changes in availability.
- Volunteers must perform their duties responsibly, reliably, and to the best of their abilities.
- Volunteers must adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines set by MCMBA.
4. Code of Conduct:
- Volunteers must treat all participants, staff, and other volunteers with respect and courtesy.
- Volunteers must refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior.
- Volunteers must maintain confidentiality regarding any sensitive information they may encounter.
5. Training and Orientation:
- Volunteers are required to attend all mandatory training sessions and orientations.
- Volunteers must familiarize themselves with MCMBA's mission, values, and event procedures.
6. Health and Safety:
- Volunteers must report any injuries or safety concerns immediately to the event coordinator.
- Volunteers must adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines during their service.
7. Termination:
- MCMBA reserves the right to terminate a volunteer's participation at any time for any reason, including but not limited to misconduct or failure to adhere to these T&Cs.
- Volunteers may also choose to terminate their involvement by providing notice to the volunteer coordinator.
8. Liability:
- MCMBA is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage incurred by volunteers during their service, except as required by law.
- Volunteers are encouraged to have personal insurance coverage.
9. Media Consent:
By participating in the volunteer program, volunteers consent to the use of their images and names in MCMBA promotional materials, including photos and videos, unless they notify MCMBA otherwise in writing.
10. Data Protection:
Personal data collected from volunteers will be used solely for the purpose of managing the volunteer program and will be stored securely.
